Media Center Events
Stop by the media center and enter to "Name the Coffee Shop" and win free coffee for the school year. See Mrs. Ervin for details.
For $5.00, buy a tile to support installation of a new coffee shop in the media center. Work is already underway. We've purchased a latte machine, commercial coffee brewer, airpots, and a few additional items. However, we still need to create a tile area in the media center prior to the grand opening. The goal is to raise $1,000.00 to purchase and install tile by the end of the school year so we can begin next year with the new coffee shop up and running. Donor names will be listed on a plaque to be placed in the new shop. See Mrs. Ervin to be added to the donor list. Thanks for your support!
"Read and Review" - Stop by the media center and select a book from the collection to read. Once finished, create a bookmark featuring your comments about the book. You'll be entered in a monthly drawing to win admission to Tinseltown and a Starbucks gift certificate for two, a $25.00 value. Bookmarks are placed inside the library's copy of the book to be read by others. Be sure to look for items with these bookmarks to read what peers are saying about materials in the library!

Hometown: |
My early childhood was spent in Boise, Idaho. However, after my second grade year, my parents moved the family to Alaska where I stayed through high school. I claim Seward, Alaska (a very small town located at the head of Resurrection Bay) as my hometown and have many fond memories of my time there. |
|
Education: |
Master of Library Science degree awarded from the University of North Texas, Denton. My undergraduate degree in business management was granted from USC, now Colorado State University at Pueblo. |
|
Family: |
Four children, Kae Leigh a fifteen year old horse enthusiast, Gage an inquisitive boy of twelve, Abbey an eight year old social butterfly, and Trevor a six year old treasure, keep me busy. My husband, Craig, teaches CAD and 3-D Studio Max. We have one dog, a cocker spaniel named Shadow. We also have a cat, Mitts, and two horses, Blue Moon and Melody. |
|
Hobbies: |
I'm hooked on fishing for salmon (whenever I visit home) and enjoy hiking, biking, reading and escaping in a very hot bubble bath, when time allows. |
